Happy Birthday to Danielle!!!

Well, I made a card for my daughter for her birthday! I was so happy that she liked it! Believe me it is hard to satisfy a teenager (especially mine) these days!!
I decided to use a Crazy 4 Challenges  sketch  design!

Crazy 4 Challenges
I first selected my lime green bazzil paper and embossed the background with Quick Kutz Leaves emboss folder. I just got this new stamp called Let A Smile be Your Umbrella from Stamp n' Stor, I love fogies stamps!! I stamped it with memento black ink pad and colored it with my Triart markers.
I used my Spellbinders Nestabilitie Small Scalloped Octagon to die cut my frog image out'
I chose SEI design paper that I had as scrap, because I had used it for another card. Using my EK Success punch to punched out the top part of my DP. I used a petty lime green ribbon, I had to layer it because it was two shear! I used Just Rite stamp for my oval border and stamped happy birthday from Gina K stampTV. I added rhinestone for some bling!!

My Thank You Roses

For my Thank you card I used Gina K stamps  "A Year of Flowers" by Melanie Muenchinger. I love roses and they have some beautiful flower stamps. I did not have a rosebud stamp so I had to draw my own!!
Since I am converting my wood mounted stamps to foam mounted, I can not tell you where the heart stamp came from, just I bought it off of e-bay.
The Reddish pink Rose, it's leaf, the heart and rosebud are all raised. The picture doesn't show it well!!

Tip: If you are changing your wood stamps to foam, wright down the stamp company on your log stamp sheet!

First Card of the Year!!!!

Will here it is my first card of 2011!!
StampTV was having their New Release Party and one of the challenges was a color challenge, The colors to use was Kraft. and along with that, Chocolate Brown and Turquoise Sea.
I started with Kraft colored background and stamped it with Gina K stamps and embossed it with a Turquoise embossing powder. I die cut out my scalloped circle, circle and oval cookie cuter nesting, fancy tags from spellbinders. I stamped my owl, my message and my background with VersaMark watermark stamp pad. I went a little bit out of my comfort zone, this is the first time I made a card with two backgrounds!! I guess I was afraid it wouldn't look right, but I thought it turned out alright. I finished embossing my card, colored my owl, added my bow and added an embellishment that I just got from Stamp'n Up.
Hop you like it !!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to everyone!!!! I know I'm a little bit late, better now then never! : )
Sorry It took so long to get back to blogging. I have been real busy making my Christmas gifts for my friends that I bowl with. I thought I would share what I made with you!

My friend Kay loves penguins, and that's what she got! I first painted my penguins on the Christmas bulbs and then filled the color in with flock. This was the first time I used flock and I really like the affect it left after the glue dried. I used Liquid Applique` for my snow and embossed the slide that the 4 penguins was riding.
My friend Cathy collects dolphins so I painted for her dolphins on the bulbs. I used glass opaque paints. I really love to paint, but I have to say Watercolors are my favorite medium!

For my other two friends, Thomas and Wayne, I painted NC lighthouses on Christmas bulbs! They are my favorite to paint! I fill the bulb with a little sand from the NC 's coast, and add some seashells, a baby star fish and a shark's tooth that we find in the sand at Topsail Inland.

Well, I hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas! I sure did!!!
