Joan's Gardens #26 Weekly Challenge

Well here is my last entry to Joan's last Challenge for 2010!! I made my own curtains and window myself! I used chalk to color the curtains!  One day I want to learn how to design and make my own stamps! Well I hope you like it!

1. Use some kind of snow or snow flakes
2. White is the color for the week, so make sure you have white on your card
3. Do some Chalking
4. Create some kind of a window look

Later on I might remake it and do a different background. I'm not to thrilled about the white.

Joan's Gardens #25 Weekly Challenge

Wow I have to tell you, I have been blog hopping all week long! I am so tired that when I tried going to sleep ( around 3:00 to 4:00 am) I'm dreaming about blog hopping. I'm ready for a good night sleep!!
On my journey of viewing these wonderful creative crafters, I stumbled on a blog named Joan's Gardens.
Joan is having a wonderful contest and I am going to enter it!!

Create a card/project using ONLY Heartfelt Creations stamps (any HFC stamps and matching dies are acceptable)Do not use any other brand stamps. You may use any card stock, design paper and embellishments you want.

You must be subscribed to Joan's Gardens blog to win.  This allows you to receive all updates about challenges and sales, etc..
I am entering a Christmas bulb I made with the Heartfelt Creations stamp and used beads to color it!!
Hope you like it!

Starting out with a clean glass bulb, I stamped my Heartfelt Creations Snowy Cardinal stamp. I used glue to attach my beads, using glass, long tube, small black, white and red beads. I didn't have any orange and brown beads, so I used Tim Holts Alcohol Inks to color some of  the white beads. I added some snowflakes with glitter and finished it off with a beautiful bow.

I really enjoyed making this ornament, I love the Heartfelt Creations Stamps and DieCuts. I only have 2 Stamp set, but I'm hoping to get more this summer!

Micheal's craft contest

Micheal's craft store is having a contest ever week, for 7 weeks on their facebook site!! Each week they give you 3 items that you must have in your craft that you are submitting. I missed the first one! :( Boohoo

Oh well the second week you had to have a charger, scrap paper and glue. I just decided not to participate, because I was going to submit a clock and there was way to many clocks already posted!
So this week you have to have candles, pine cones and glitter.

  • Materials: White pillar candle, glue gun, quick dry craft bond by K&Company, Martha Stewart glitter, small wired ribbon, pine cones, craft green spray paint, craft gold spay paint, snowflakes stamps, The essential glue pad.

  • Instructions: Spray Paint your pine cones green and gold. Then brush the tips it with the craft bond glue and sprinkle gold glitter on the gold pine cones and green glitter on the green pine cones. Snip off the pine cone petals. Take the gold petals and with the quick dry craft bond place them around the edge of the top of the candle with the petal facing down, let dry and do the same thing to the bottom edge but with them facing up. Then over lap with green petals. Then add your ribbon with the glue gun to hide the end of the pine cone petals on the top edge and the bottom edge. After everything is dry and in place take your embossing buddy and pat down the sides of your candle. Stamp your glue pad with your snowflake stamp on your candle. Sprinkle your glitter alternating your gold and green colors for snowflakes.

I will let you know whats going on next week!!
    Hope you can make it!
